A House with Two Doors

A house with two doors,
and a man within.
Clearly understood —
simple, yet layered,
never an illusion.

One door,
a passage to calm,
where time hums softly.
The other —
a call to discursiveness,
to the clamour of thought.

Flowers on the table,
born from creative blocks.
A mirror facing me —
I reflect,
as I do upon myself.

Beauty stands still, dignified,
yet restless
for those chasing flux.
How does a current learn to be still?
Can I love
what does not demand my chase?

I’ve started to wake
without hustle —
as if love, too,
can arrive tranquilly,
and still be love.
